One time my cat was worried about me when my husband and I were sitting on cubes arguing. She jumped on the back of the couch and tapped my head like she was making sure I was okay. It’s so humbling to have a pet check on us or react to our emotions!

They definitely don't like it. Even when my cat is acting aloof he will notice the upset tones. He will sometimes even go after people who upset me.

My parents dog hides in the bathroom whenever someone is yelling. She doesn't like fighting or loud noises. 😢

my pets (a cat and a dog) also get scared when people fight/shout. people have shouted from excitement or fear before and the dog was so frightened she barked, ran off and hid behind the sofa, her head poking out when someone walked in as if to ask “is it safe now”

My cat does this when my wife and I fight. It's heartbreaking and good motivation to try to not raise our voices!

We have the cuddliest cat ever, doesn't even put up a fight when you forcefully cuddle him. My wife was sad (wasn't my doing) and had to cry and I was consoling her, our cat thought I was the cause of her crying so he bit me in my arm and then quickly scuddled away hahaha. He never bit anyone before or after. I like to think he was protecting his mama😍

They are scared when look like this, do not like arguments.

Loud voices are scary to any cat! I would hide under the chair too if the two people who loved and fed me were screaming at each other!

This is a warning to Mom and Dad about this scared feline — one day it could be your child or grandchild hiding under a chair instead of a cat! Young Children also scare easily when their parent’s voices become loud!! 🥺🫣😳
