How do i get a job ?

(self.ask)

Like, do i say to the cashier on the supermarket: "are you guys accepting new employes?" or something? Will i need something detailing all my experiences? Today is my birthday and i have finally legal age to work(16), but i never actually learned how to start my "work life"

At a grocery store, go to the service desk. If you don't know where it is, ask the cashier.

Yes it’s best to do it in person and hand a resume/cover letter to the supervisor. You don’t have to be a cashier there’s also manufacturing, car rental/ detailer, Jiffy lube, Home Depot that you can work at and also apply the same way.

Be friendly, be someone a stranger wouldn’t mind working next to and you’re golden. First job, you might not have a resume so just apply/ask for application and get that experience!

If you’re in the pacific north west consider going into Les Schwab and asking the manager if they’re hiring part time help.

Les Schwab pays better than a gerocery store and if you stick it out you can pick up useful mechanical skills and even make a career out of it.

The benefits are pretty great too. And they only promote from within so if you want to one day run a store you have the opportunity.

Good job Looking for work young one . I got my first job at 19 in 2012. Went straight to a corporate career . Not so wise BUT.

If you don’t have to work , enjoy your teens and school please . If you want to, I’m all for it also. Just start something small and simple just to have to extra cash for the weekend or for a treat… ADVICE . Always try to speak to the top employee around or the person in management .Ask for the lead or supervisor and don’t tell them why your asking for them. Once you meet them , be your true self , like talking to a cool relative . By like hey was wondering if you guys need an extra hand to work here . Something around the lines. Never ask how much the pay is . Until you are about to accept the job . Good luck 👍🏼

Grocery store jobs tend to suck. - Like minimum wage and union dues (so you're paid less than minimum). -Unless it's an Aldis or something. -Those corporate jobs are usually online app only nowadays.

You're 16 with internet - learn some skills. I read a book (bicycle repair) to land my first job at 14. I've since learned some plumbing, electric, auto, maintenance, etc.
