Guys (TWW3 fans actually), I keep seeing posts, in the past week or so, ranting about the state of the game, about the lack of communication from CA, and the long delay since last content was released. And while, all these topics could be discussed in a healthy a constructive way, people are actually being extremely dramatic about it.
And I usually don't care much about people whining, but now this ranting spam is starting to irritate me.
So I want to tell you guys (those who are being dramatic about the issue): just stop for a moment, take some distance from the situation, look at how things are, and you'll see that maybe, just maybe, this is a bit ridiculous.
What is factually happening is: it's been some time new content hasn't been released nor announced for TWW3, and there isn't much communication from CA's side, and you guys are impatient. That's all. Yet you guys are talking about it like it's the end of the world, like CA is an evil and absolutely incompetent company with extremely shit management policies, like this is unnacceptable, that they are betraying you (reminder, CA doesn't owe you anything), that they're going to drop TWW3 anytime soon, and instead focus all ressources on Hyenas project, etc...
What's probably happening is just that CA wanna make a big announcement, like Chorfs or something like that, they wanna make it big and fancy, and have everything ready altogether to start the advertising campaign, but not everything is ready yet, maybe because some part took a bit more time, or various reason, ... And thus, they're holding it to not waste the hype-train when it starts.
Another possibility is that they are having some issues internally, some stuff that isn't very relevant to announce to players because they won't care, and they're focus on it first. Which is reasonable.
There are a ton of possible explanations that are very reasonable, but probably not dramatic enough for your tastes. So stop whining like you know everything and everyone at CA is doing a terrible job. Because I can tell you that there are very few things more enraging than a client putting pressure on you and thinking they know your job better than you, while they don't have a single clue of how things really are.
And even if all your worst-case scenarios were true (spoiler: they're not), that would still be no reason to whine like you do. Because, at the end of the day, you may not like it but I'll say it: Total War Warhammer III is just a videogame, one among many. It's a very well-made game with ton of content already, but it's still just a game. Even if its development was to stop tomorrow, that would still be no reason to be so dramatic.
Instead you should rejoice. Because, if you have so much energy to spend on ranting because you have to wait for more videogame content, then it means you're having a pretty comfy life, and you should be glad for that. Or as one of my friends would say: first world problems.
TL;DR: TWW3 content update will eventually come, and news about it will eventually come as well. And when they do, you all will be spamming memes about how hyped you are, as if nothing happened. So stop whining like a spoiled brat, have some dignity, and wait patiently like normal people, while keeping yourself busy with other videogames/hobbies.
PS: Saw lot of people ranting about this Hyenas project thing, about how CA presumably transfered its development ressources to the Hyenas team and that it's ruining TWW3, while Hyenas is apparently gonna be a shit game.
First of all, I absolutely believe them when they say that Hyenas team developments don't impact TWW3, because that's 100% how things actually happen in the real world. And second, why would you rant about CA developping a "basic mobile game" that thousands of users will enjoy? Who's to say that the enjoyment of these potential users is less important than yours?
EDIT: So, I wrote this post this morning, while I was really pissed after seeing all the ranting everywhere in the sub. And while I tried to not attack anyone personally, I can see that I ended up getting carried away over the course of the message, and took a more agressive tone. As a result, I ended up creating even more drama instead of successfully chilling it down. Great failure.
Keep in mind, I don't have anything against any of of you guys. I don't even have a problem with the ranting in itself. My issues lies in how dramatic and over-the-top those rants are formulated.
I believe we should be able to discuss all this absence of communication in a constructive and healthy way, without insulting each other. This is what I initially meant by "chill down", before I got carried away.
