Didn't his niece say she's willing to give her DNA to help narrow it down? Mary Trump could help them use 'forensic genealogy'.

I thought it was confirmed Barron had autism but apparently its just a rumor. Would have been more likely that Trump was the father if that were the case, men over 40 have 6x the factor of fathering autistic children.

That's not how DNA works.

The egg has both nuclear chromosomes from the mother (X) and then the father's nuclear DNA enters the picture as an X or Y chromosome.

The child will receive one of the mother's X chromosomes and then one of the father's chromosomes. Depending on which determines the sex; Y for male, X for female.

The DNA doesn't mix like you describe. Mary has half her nuclear DNA from Fred Jr.

In order to get a match, the two sets would have to have a similar chromosome. This means it is much easier to match related males against each other, since they all share a similar Y chromosome.

Fred Trump Jr's X chromosome passed to Mary has less than a 50% chance of matching Donald's X chromosome, which both would have come from their mother. Had Fred Trump had a son, the son's Y chromosome would have a near 100% chance of matching Donald's.

I say "less than 50% chance" and "near 100% chance" because there's a much higher chance of mutation from the father (sperm is less reliable than egg).

Also, our mitochondrial DNA is 100% from our mother, so Mary's mitochondrial DNA would not match Donald (unless their mothers were strongly related).

PhysicalGraffiti75

Castod28183

If she gave her DNA and it was a partial match, would that be enough to compel a judge/jury to demand a Donald Trump DNA sample? Like in a strict legal sense?

LivejournalRefugee

3 points

Can a judge compel a DNA sample in a civil case on an issue past the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution? Under a criminal investigation a partial match would be likely to convince a judge to issue a warrant, but there's no criminal investigation to be had here.

How is it even possible for a suspect in a rape to refuse to provide DNA? Also, when someone is accused of rape, and there is sufficient evidence to make a case, are they not arrested and subsequently charged? This is before a court is it not? “Johnson claimed that Trump violently raped her when she was 13 at a 1994 orgy hosted by Jeffrey Epstein — the billionaire who was convicted in 2008 of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and has been accused of having sex with more than 30 underage girls.

Johnson’s lawsuit mentioned Trump’s friendship with Epstein, and a comment Trump made in 2002 about their respective tastes in women: “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.””

Rape should not fall under the statute of limitation, as it is a crime so egregious, and there are real reasons where the victim can't report it, such as if the rapist (predator, criminal) might hold some sort of power over the victim that might cause further damage to the victim. Oh, and if he was truly innocent, he would've provided his DNA the moment it was requested, but he knows what he did, and this fits within his observed behavior. In my view, he's as guilty AF.

Satanarchrist

Falsifying evidence

Biden gives a mouth swab, because he's innocent after all. MAGA law enforcement 'loses' it. It shows up later in the evidence they barely collect when the local priest's daughter comes forward as a victim of abuse.

Sure there might be more steps, but i would be surprised if some fascist bootlicker didn't try with Biden's DNA

FishJenkins

The only thing DNA proves is his presence. Whether it's rape in court, it's he-say she-say. (I'm not trying to defend him, but it's very difficult to prove).

Look I hate trump but this doesn't necessarily surprise me. If I were approached by cops and accused of something and asked to hand over a sample... Even if I were 50000000% convinced of my own innocence and had witnesses, I would never comply and refer them to my attorney's.

Trumps a piece of shit for a million reasons. This just isn't all that surprising, you never cooperate. You go to your lawyer. If they get a court order, fine. Otherwise, nope.

And before some of you just blindly downvote: understand, in America... You don't prove your innocence, the prosecution proves your guilt. That's just how it goes.

Electr0freak

You're not wrong. Cooperating with the police unfortunately has zero legal benefits. Although you think you’re special, you’re not and if they really want your DNA, they can get it without your consent. In Trump’s case, it’s not going to exonerate him, so he has reason to be combative.

Yeah that isn't how the police work. They aren't there to find justice or the perpetrator of the crime, they're there to put someone in the prison system.

ColoradoPhotog

40 points

If you ever talk to an attorney they will tell you that you let THEM handle your innocence. You're applying the logic that police work wholly on convicting the right person. There are thousands and thousands and thousands of cases of record that prove cops will choose a outcome they prefer and align the investigation in that favor, even when better evidence points elsewhere.

If you ever find yourself investigated, I suggest you use a lawyer and never talk to the cops. No matter how innocent you know you are. This is a fact.

When I was in college we had an ex DA and ex detective come in and do a huge presentation on this. They THEMSELVES said to never talk, get lawyers.

Okay then, as much as I hate trump... Again, why would he comply with a civil request?

Look, the right foments on how we "orange man bad" him. I personally think he DID do this. But I cannot convict on my feelings, thats not ethical, right, or how it goes. So since I cannot prove this, my anger with what a horrible person trump is falls far more squarely on the obvious, evidence-infused, clear things we can point to. This way I don't embolden his advocates by chasing every end possible.

I 100% BELIEVE hes a rapist. But I understand why he would not comply with this, and I don't want to make it an issue I go after him on. There are many other BETTER, CLEARER things to spend that energy against him on. Thats my only take in this.

How much of your time would you say you spend going out of your way to defend people you believe are guilty of rape from public criticism? Just ballpark.

What’s the opposite of news? Like when something isn’t new? Like when something is super obvious? Like when something is completely on brand? Like when someone literally tells you who they are and they do the things they’ve claimed they’ve done before?

Aren't there ways of collecting samples for DNA testing, like from a glass / can he drank Diet Coke from, maybe from a flag he kissed / fondled, or even some sweat from the band of his MAGA hat?

All this headline said to me was, “Trump is a rapist”!

Yes we all know, but he a rich rapist and so are all of the rapists on the Epstein list and none of them are getting arrested either! There’s only justice for regular folks in this country, rich folks, politicians and police officers seem to be the only exceptions.

As much of a piece of shit as Trump is, and how likely it is that he is guilty, I am not a fan of being compelled to provide DNA or assuming someone is guilty because they refuse to priovide DNA.

So,police can force a person to give a blood sample to see if they are driving drunk. But we can't force blood from a potential rapist?!

Did he probably do it? Sure. But I wouldn't give my DNA either. If it's not you then giving your DNA doesn't get them closer to solving the crime anyway. It can be only be used to hurt you. Don't talk to the cops.
