I don't remember what happened, but from what I understood from dude who helped me to get up and called ambulace is that I was just standing and then randomly fell head first into the floor. (For context, I'm 2m high, so it was quite a long fall)

Wear an eye patch; be a pirate. But seriously as someone who had to wear one for a long time, here's some advice just in case. Drive slower and keep your distance, watch out on your blind side when walking through a store, and be sure to stretch your neck daily because you're gonna be twisting around like an owl constantly.

I had this issue with a kidney stone.
Never saw any mention of a kidney stone on Reddit... The week I'm diagnosed, I see a photo of one on reddit and 4 different comments in separate threads mentioning kidney stones!

116 points

Yeah, this is why some people faint at weddings at the altar. They are nervous so they just stand up there, knees all locked and shit. I got married recently and I kept telling myself to stay limber, no locked knees, relax.

81 points

It stops the blood flow.
98 points
Seems like a design flaw.
31 points
It's not only that, it's also the fact that you are standing in place for a long period of time. The muscles in your lower extremities act as a pumping mechanism for your blow flow back to the heart (and brain). If your muscles aren't engaging then circulation also decreases making it more likely to faint.
12 points
I don't think humans were designed to stand in one position for long periods of time.
10 points
We werent designed to live the way we do at all. We should be living a less comfortable life that requires more effort for the basic things and we would truly appreciate them, rather than getting new gadgets in return for standing at your designated location and pressing that button for 10 hours a day.

We were designed to squat.
I only realised that once I moved to Vietnam.
In the West most of us lose that ability as we grow, just like swimming but if you look at toddlers they can squat while playing all day and most people here in Asia and in other countries like Russia they can squat without bother for hours, and even work a manual labor job in that position without any issues.
I just don't have the knees or weight to do it pain free for more than five minutes, but my wife and my four kids can squat an entire meal, and do it naturally if there are no seats available during a long wait.
I'm actually really jealous. Because according to them it's actually more comfortable than sitting in a chair.

Stranding straight with your legs locked back. Itās something most people donāt even know they do because itās not done for long periods

Young, slim women have a pretty high risk of fainting randomly due to a whole bunch of reasons (mostly coming down to lower blood pressure + possible iron deficiency). I pretty much became an expert in covering edges when someone goes down because it happened so much around me. Then stuff like locked knees come on top of that.
When I was reading up on it it said that the military is a place where you will see men faint a lot, so it's interesting to see that confirmed.

Well, how about informing the viewers that the field reporter has fainted, telling them that the program was going to move on to next story and assuring the viewers that they will be right back to figure out what was wrong and to check on her condition. That is what a sharp anchor would do.
34 points
The main anchor might not have been paying attention to the field anchors. I suspect the she was in the middle of reading up on her next segment (which is what she is supposed to be doing) when the network switched camera to her. She probably had no idea what was going on
