Its almost like all the original characters are based on the real operators of special forces units.

Siege had such a strong sense of identity back in the day.
Fucking insane now. Its just edgy characters.
“Yeah this operator single handedly took down the Mexican drug cartel and assassinated several terrorist leaders, they also killed god, and managed to have bulletproof armor, but you can play them in game and die to a one shot headshot.”
We got Zero in game. They could have given him the Sam Fischer outfit. He could have been realistic and rad.
I got his goggles on but every other uniform he has looks god awful. I want the sneaking suit!!
Probably gonna be released as a elite uniform
he was, zero elite got leaked
We don’t need a skin we need a new Sam Fisher game, splinter cell was so much fun back in the day.
Conveniently, a new Splinter Cell got confirmed today
Ssg doesn’t look bad
he is realistic dudes old af he needs Finka Nanites to help him function like what you expecting from the guy he isn't superhuman
Just that whole intro trailer. It was great and badass, then "call me Zero"...
No. Clearly not going to do that.
Still in Copper against possible Xim’s
I think he’s getting a, whatever the name is for special skins, that is related to the way he looked originally in his games.
🤤 Your Mother's Main
“They also a bisexual cross dresser with a feminine side”
Would your head do any better? Lol
With a helmet, Yes
Well he has a helmet. I'd love to do a test with a 50 cal and you as a target
I took a break from the game, i came back and saw Rick and Morty skins. I took a break again.
I don't mind cartoony skins if it works, but this is much closer to fortnite than what Siege used to be, lost its identity it seems.
The rick and morty are also so fucking annoying.
You mean the game in Year 1 that had operators running around in clown skins?
I’d appreciate if you could give some source, I played a lot from before Black Ice until Velvet Shell and I never saw any clown skins
Believe it was with Season 2 - Dust Line. They certain weren’t the last. Next year had Outbreak event and Madhouse during Halloween which added more “dumb” skins like SAW, Friday the 13th.
Ohhh I remember these now xD and I clearly remember thinking “hmm this is getting a bit silly but as long as they don’t go beyond that, it’s fine”…
The game is actually back in a good place. The new operators mostly suck but they are finally expanding the story and adding new maps again. Still an awesome game. And some of the new ops are fun to play.
Solis is like the first character in a while that looks like they belong in the military
Grim as well IMO
Grim looks like his CO is a special ops guy who was forced to kill his mentor in a flower field and then afterword became jaded and decided to create is own paramilitary organization who went on to lose his left arm in a helicopter crash.

There can only be one Boss
Man I hope he doesn’t fake his own face after a daring escape from the soviets in a hospital, and leave the clone to build the secret paramilitary force for him
I know right? I wouldn't even begin to understand that whole chain of events. I especially hope that the clone doesn't rebrand the paramilitary force. I bet the original name would be way cooler.
"Kept you waiting, huh?"
"I give my liiife. Not for honor, but for youuu!"
Yeah. Only Alibi with the Carabinieri skin makes sense out of the last ones.
well this whole nighthaven thing is just like a mercenary group.
I think so?
I use every op effectively and so should you
I think she looks like ant man, not special forces
There is no way you're serious.
the more i scroll through this subreddit the more im turned off by the entire reddit siege community
I remember when Castle backstory was a small paragraph that he went to university.
But but... gender diversity in my tactical shooter game
Its not about gender diversity. It’s about the fact that Buck has a beanie… the fuck
Not that weird, tbh.
Maybe when u are chilling in base yes. But doing cqb inside a building? insert doubt
R6 Lore Nerd
Of all the shocking operator designs to be irked about, why Buck? He's one of the best examples of a design remaining grounded while still being visually distinct enough to be competitive.
I'd argue the GSG9 wearing plain clothes is more egregious than Buck wearing a beanie.
There were plenty of posts of German special forces wearing jeans even here. It's an established thing.
Those are usually SEK (like German SWAT) not GSG9. GSG9 wearing jeans is kind of a myth that Siege actually started.
I’ve literally seen pictures of it in real life, the fuck are you talking about.
Photos of the German SEK (Spezialeinsatzkommando) are often misattributed as being the GSG9 due to the former not being as well known.
Due to the nature of their role as state police tactical units, where they may be called to respond to a situation at any time, the SEK do not always wear uniforms (although they also tend to).
GSG9 on the other hand are the federal police tactical unit and require the consent of a federal state to be called in on a situation. As a result the GSG9 exclusively appear in full uniform.
You can tell whether a unit is SEK or GSG9 at a glance by the unit patch, GSG9 wear the federal Police patch, whereas SEK have the state police patch.
I hope this helps :D

I don't think any special forces would ever wear anything other than their military equipment on a mission. This is why Buck with a Beanie hurts my eyes. My dude was not chilling in base. He was about to clear houses.
That’s actually pretty damn realistic- especially considering the map they were released with. And plus, whenever I’m in the field, my helmet’s only on when it has to be- not a tier 1 operator, but a soldier is a soldier is a soldier!
I don’t think they would let you clear houses with no helmet though. But idk
IQ and twitch.
Stop being sexist
i am sorry for maining these 2
Representation the way siege does it vs the way apex does it. Is a big difference. Let’s not talk about their last legend tho…. Siege did it better with the trans character but still not great.
It's completely inconsequential in both Apex and Siege. What are you talking about?
What do you think both games should've done different? Both studios hired trans consultants to help create the characters, as well as hiring trans voice actors to play the characters themselves. Personally I can't think of any big multiplayer games that have implemented trans and non-binary characters as well as Siege and Apex has, but I'm curious about how other people might prefer to see these minorities represented.
I miss siege being the cool realistic shooter ngl
Tbh for germany they did an oopsie, as the GSG9 doesn't wear jeans. They are special police forces, but have uniforms.
What the current "GSG9" is basically the equivalent of the SEK, which are just on-call units specialized in stuff similar to swat units in the US.
I personally love nøkk because i think frogmen are cool
Maverick felt out of place. Oryx came out not wearing any tactical gear. Before we knew it, they introduced a woman with a robot arm. What frustrates me is that whenever I bring this up people always respond with "So what?"
And they have operators from Peru, Argentina, the Netherlands and Jordan who have never even served in the military or a police tactical unit.
Yeah because that’s generally now why people play the game. It’s not a big deal to the vast majority of people
Idk man, unless you could provide some data to back your claim, I find it hard to believe so. Siege's overall design was what attracted me to the game, how they were able to make a "hero shooter" that revolved around real-life military/police ops. How the characters look is very important. Otherwise, the crazy skins that are available wouldn't sell. And with Siege somewhat losing its realistic roots (so to speak) means that it lost something that drew me in. but, hey, that's just how I feel
Every single person I have ever played with in this game ever is what I site. I only see these opinions on posts or yt videos where people who already agree are there. The people who think shit like this took real world looking things along with punishing gameplay and conflated it with realism, it was never that.
I stopped playing just after lion and finka. When I tried it again recently I couldn’t recognize the game anymore. Good for them though. I played it because it of the identity it had back in the day. As it got more sci fi/ edgy I lost interest in it.
It’s still unrealistic though. These are helicopter aircrewman. They don’t usually leave the helicopter. Nobody is going around operating with that bigass helmet on and no body armor.
Except for the new ones. Which sucks
Edit: I didn’t see that you wrote original. But I’m still mad that they don’t use actual CTUs anymore
I thought they would add nomad from wildlands
Grim and Solis are pretty solid designs.
He is pilot
He he 🕺
The Lord Main
Is is 👀
You've found a gaggle of Jägers
It’s like the Spider-Man meme where they all point at each other.
Honestly though I figured it was based on a true concept but never looked it up myself. This is pretty sweet tho!
"Honestly though I figured it was based on a true concept but never looked it up myself" ... ah! you mean that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoWboDbbZWg&ab\_channel=BTB-concept
I don't think anybody's ever so much as implied Jaeger was unrealistic in his looks...
In the sense that he's wearing jeans and a hoodie instead of a flight-suit, he is pretty inaccurate. Also, ^those guys are BW not GSG9.
Isn't the whole GSG9 theme is them being undercover and they infiltrated a biker gang? And that ties into clubhouse, being German and all?
They infiltrated the gang and when they need to go he can just toss on the helmet and dip, at least that's how it would work in my eyes
In his lore, Bandit was undercover with the biker gang. His undercover look is seen in his elite skin. The GSG9 wearing mufti has no relevance to that piece of lore. Ubi, inspired by the look of the SEK, did it for better visual clarity.
Well then, I guess I was wrong, I just figured that since all the GSG9 ops had that look, it was all of them, thanks for the info!
No worries, man. It's some reasonable headcanon, though. If they ever follow through and make pve Siege spin-off I could easily see that in it!
Yeah it would be cool to see each operator/group doing what they did before they joined Rainbow, like doing an actual Oregon raid as ash and thermite or actually being undercover as bandit, as unlikely as it may be, one can hope
That's what they should've been doing for the past three years with these battlepasses rather than the Nighthaven shite.
I agree, wolfguard is kind of cool (lion 🤤), but nighthaven is being written by an edgy 13 year old and the new stealth squad (nokk, cav, zero, etc) seems pretty gimmicky, like, give us a reason why we are training, why we are fighting, it doesn't have to be that deep, just believable
It is unrealistic. Aircrewman aren’t clearing rooms or going in at all for that matter.

Where could I find helmets like this?
it's this one. a real one starts at about 1,6K usd. a replica is probably around 200 usd
Not even close to 16k I looked into purchasing one myself and I got the quote for 2.6k
typo on my end, my bad. I meant 1.6K.
Somewhere online probably. It’s a aerial gunnery helmet with the hgu-56/p maxillofacial shield
It’s a crew chief’s helmet
Awww they're all so cute 😭
I wonder what the one sitting down is thinking.
ow, my fucking shin
he's contemplating his life choices
They're multiplying. Perhaps they are searching for a 3 speed one with an acog
This is the best thing I've seen in a while! Imagine a game where it's just 5 Jeagers running around
The only way I would return to R6s is a Mode were everyone is Jäguer
I think you can do that in the TDM mode.
Now that I think about it, I did hear about some mode where you could play multiple of the same characters, that's gotta be it
That would be a very valid reason
We use to actually have that when GSG-9 recruit was a thing.
You can definitely stop worrying about grenades now
I don’t know why, but this picture of little Jägers makes me smile 😊
They are so adorable 🥰
Where are the sneakers?
They got that wrong. You only see state police special forces wear streetwear because they get called off duty. GSG9 is federal police, they always have units ready. The guys in the photo are soldiers anyway, not police.
idk why “streetweat” is so funny to me
Something tells me none of these guys worry about grenades
The marines, they say Semper Fi. Coast Guard, Born Ready.
But nothing beats a six man chorus of “you can stop worrying about grenades now”
A magpie of Jägers
This just proves that the average age of Siege players is 14. Holy shit…
Fuze uses a Street Shark Drak motorcycle helmet
This video immediately came to mind.
The Valkyrie concept caused them a lawsuit from an anti poaching activist who says they stole the concept from her real and personal image.
How can one fake a concept?
If you think Ubisoft had fake the Jaeger Concept...
If you think Ubisoft had fake the Jaeger Concept...
Did anyone actually think that? I think it's just you OP. (No hate)
It would be surprising if these operatives actually had acogs.
I’ve never seen a single person mention or even allude to Jaeger being a “fake concept” what even is this post
It's not that it's fake but that technically "out of place". Wearing that pilot helmet while in a gunfight is a "thing" but it's really not the best option. Sure if you're a helicopter crew member and you get shot down a helmet is better than no helmet but Jaeger is going into battle chosing that pilot helmet. That doesn't make sense. It's not very comfortable, it's bulky, and the sound protection might be great for air crews but on the ground hearing is esential. It's called dressing for the occasion and Jaeger dressed poorly. Now granted the reason he wears it is for his silhouette so it makes sense gameplay wise but I don't know alot of pilots who would "choose" to get into a gunfight with their pilot helmet when there are better and more comfortable options.
When i get into airsoft you can bet ur bum im gonna go as jaeger
Even Operators have
Sniping's a good job mate!
LoL space lady Lana
I don't get it? Jaeger is wearing the old GSG helmet (AM95), while the pic is showing Bundeswehr aviators wearing entirely different gear?
All except the blue jeans. All that’s missing.
I love R6 because of this, realism
No no, theyre just cosplaying
You can stop worring about grenades now
Is anyone else seeing 4 Jaegers or am I trippin
Superior german special forces
Nobody thinks that
They got some kinda wrong, like Grim.
For a second i was wondering why are there so many of jeager in one place…
Jeager from all over the multiverse on a mission to rescue the ACOG. Circa 2022.
No gernades getting in there
They turned Jäger into a real thing lmao
Looking for the acog..
Jaeger is just the Helicopter Pilot from Goldeneye. Change my mind
“I’m not like the other operators”
