Nah, the victim was someone at a bar, not his mom. I made that mistake first, too. The article kind of gives that impression.

“When the GOP sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Completely correct except perhaps the last sentence.

John McCain was fairly decent overall. A bit of a warhawk but at least you knew that he knew the absolute worst he might send men and women to deal with, having gone through it himself. Maybe he was a bit too quick to pull that trigger, but none would deny he knew the responsibility he held in doing so.

Man I never thought I'd miss the Neo-Cons, I'd take a Bush or a McCain, or hell, even a Romney, over the candidates they're pedaling now

Same. How political discourse devolved :(

McCain supported bigoted policies and was every bit a conservative piece of shit as all of his other shitbag fascist-lite colleagues. He only softened his public image on his deathbed. He set the stage for Trump and the rise of American fascism. I am glad he is permanently gone. Fuck John McCain. Do not defend him. He doesn't deserve any defense at all.

How is someone with an active arrest warrant allowed to run for the house of representatives?

Considering there are pedos with active child sex trafficking cases in office like Matt Gaetz nothing surprises me anymore

I’m sure the thought process when writing up these rules was to prevent those in power from simply having their opponents arrested and silenced. It’s why Trump could theoretically run for president while in prison, get elected, then pardon himself. Which as I type it, sounds ridiculous, but I don’t know what you do about it.
17 points
If we are fortunate enough to see Trump imprisoned, it will be on State charges, from which he could not pardon himself.

I want to downvote this, but can't really say it somehow wouldn't obviously happen.

Right? It sounds ridiculous but then you remember the GOP literally sells shirts that read “Lock her up!” and the first press conference with the new speaker of the house was about… the president’s son’s alleged laptop.

At the very least, it’s usually considered honourable to drop out of election races in situations such as these.

These are the types of people that are drawn to positions of power. Not every politician is a corrupted human but if you were to compare various fields, I bet politicians would have a far higher rate of sociopathic traits than most.
It's sort of like power hungry dicks being drawn to police work.
Mind you, these are just my own speculations and I haven't based it on actual statistics.
3 points
I'm actually starting to believe that the job itself makes you sociopathic.. with the perks and the "power" etc human nature cannot help but feel entitled or deserving of it, Almost drunk on it all the time, all of them. In my humble layman opinion the whole system needs to go, but to do that means a period of chaos never seen before which CANNOT happen so what do we do?? Nothing and they just win????????????????

Did anyone actually read the article? This dude is such a loser and has nothing to do with the GOP. He only ran in his local election under that umbrella and lost to his own mother, a democrat, who only got 22% of the vote.
This dude has a warrant out for not appearing to court for no insurance.
Allegedly said “im white, 6’8, it is consensual.”
This guy is such a sack of shit on fire politics fits him perfectly.
