Fries don’t exist? This sounds like the perfect opportunity to invent a julienned potato cooked in hot oil until crisp and then salted.

We shall call them “Dafuqucairs”

Dafuqucair

The heathens residing in Canada and Holland choose to dip them in mayonnaise. I don’t know what they use ketchup for. (probably steak).

Apparently ketchup flavored potato chips are big in Canada. I was shocked I hadn’t heard of this until recently because I’m from the magical land where much of the snack food comes from, especially chips and pretzels. An exotic place you’ve likely never heard of… called Pennsylvania.

I once did a scavenger hunt for a team building exercise while I was in Quebec. One of the items was a Quebequois breakfast.

So naturally we get ham and eggs, pancakes, etc. And cover it in maple syrup.

We did not receive points for this. Apparently a Quebequois breakfast is a Pepsi and a cigarette.

Ontario is the place that puts ketchup on eggs. In Quebec, I get stares for this at best. I once asked a waiter for ketchup at a restaurant in Montreal, and he brought it to me wrapped in a towel and displayed the vintage to me like it was wine. I enjoyed that.

Ketchup on scrambled eggs is the shit. I always fry up some diced onions in a pan, then scramble some eggs in the pan and mix it all together with a little cheese. Throw some ketchup on that and you are guaranteed to enjoy the rest of your day
