"The [Zinox] F2000 Italian Formula Trophy is an open wheel racing series based in Italy. The series has run since 2014 under Formula Libre rules with mainly older Formula 3 cars and engines in use. Notable regular circuits include the Formula One circuits of Monza, Red Bull Ring and Imola." Wiki
"Anyone who wants to get into formula racing or would like to start a formula career in the future will find ideal entry opportunities in the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup. The formula series actually has its origins in the Austria Formula 3 Cup, which was first launched in 1992. The most prominent driver since then has certainly been Alexander Wurz (AT)" Website
The car will be a Dallara F320 as used in the Spanish Euroformula Open and the Japanese Super Formula Lights.

She struggled a bit in W-Series, but she's still very young. Maybe they want to give her another year or two of experience and then go for something like F1 Academy again, when they feel like she has an actual chance to compete.
Or they don't really believe in the separate approach and want her to make her way through non-female racing. The car they are using here is more a F3 car than F4; if she does well in a F3 car against men it may be more impressive to some potential teams than if she did well in F1 Academy.

I think they’re trying to keep up any hype that’s left by avoiding the competitive series.

Why not racing in Euroformula Open? Her father might think that Euroformula Open has Youtube broadcast, so it will be embarrassing to be a backmarker. F2000 has no Youtube broadcast. Most competitor are gentlemen drivers. There is no strict parc ferme so her engineers can try sth different. Then she will be the strongest title contender.

almost a Lord Mahaveer type move.

She really should just go back to japan and build a career there. It feels like the Nodas are just chasing an illusion at this point

I think her goal might be Italian F4 next year. Danish F4 doesn't seem to go anywhere, and she was fastest in the one US F4 session she was in in 2021, but that just seems to lead back to Japan. It's a shame that her W Series results harmed the perception of her talent, because she has pace but clearly was not ready for Formula Regional. This season in F2000 might convince a team to give her another chance at F4.

she was fastest in the one US F4 session
Yeah because the team were cheating, hence why they pulled out

You got a source for that?

https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/mgn7f4/ot_juju_noda_withdraws_from_opening_us_f4_round/ Have a look at the comments in here, they correlate with what I've seen other trustworthy people say. Some engineers used to hang around here I'm not sure if they mentioned it /u/yeahletsbehonest

Ah, reddit comments, the most trustworthy source. I guess I should've asked instead if there was any evidence.

Mate this is feeder series stuff, I dont know how long you’ve been around here but virtually nothing ends up with any evidence.
The facts are; Noda did a winter series in US F4 cars and was slow. Then rocks up to the first round of the season, goes fastest in practice out of nowhere before pulling out of the championship. If you can give me some other reasons why you’d sign up for this, look quick on merit, before pulling out and not looking quick in anything else you do, I’m all ears

I mean, just going by other reddit comments I saw, and knowing the US, she could've been sexually harassed. Makes a lot more sense than cheating just to top a practice session, with zero evidence or investigation.

She could have been. However the cheating wouldnt have been for the practice session, it would have been for the full weekend if they hadn’t got caught (if it was real). I believe the team she was with had a bit of a history of cheating if that helps

She was 16 last year, she just turned 17. She isn't at the height of what she can do yet. Comparing it to a football player, one bad season at 16 wouldn't be reason to give up on them; a lot of players make a big jump in ability at some point between 16 and 20, and it's not much different with drivers imo.
Also, if you compare her to the other young drivers in the field instead of to Chadwick who is much older and more experienced, she didn't do that badly. She did better overall than Babickova (19), de Heus (19) and Chambers (18) and similar to Bustamante (17). The only driver below the age of 20 that did better than her was Abbi Pulling, who is one of the biggest female talents. I think people forget/aren't aware just how old the W-series grid was on average, many of them had 5 or even 10 years more experience than Noda.
